Mr Caplin received his education as a singer, conductor and choral pedagogue at the <\/span>Royal Academy of Music in Copenhagen and at the Royal Academy of Music in<\/span><\/p>\n

Stockholm. He is frequently engaged as guest conductor and clinician, and as <\/span>adjudicator in competitions.<\/span><\/p>\n

Mr Caplin specializes within the psychological\/pedagogical aspects of choral <\/span>leadership, coupled with the traditional perspectives of choral conducting and the<\/span><\/p>\n

overall running of a choir including all aspects. This focus is fundamental in his book <\/span>on choral leadership that was globally published in 2017 \u2013 \u201dThe Learning<\/span><\/p>\n

Conductor\u201d. Another speciality is the cross field between classical and rhythmical <\/span>singing and conducting.<\/span><\/p>\n

His publications include a number of compositions, arrangements and CD recordings <\/span>(<\/span>Cantando Music Publisher, Stavanger <\/span>and at <\/span>Musikk-Husets forlag, Oslo.)<\/span><\/p>\n

He has received international recognitions for his leadership of the following choirs :<\/span><\/p>\n

The Lund University Male Choir (prominent male choir from University of Lund, <\/span>Sweden, World Choir Champions, Shaoxing 2010),<\/span><\/p>\n

Chamber Choir Collegium Vocale (Norway),<\/span><\/p>\n

Oslo University Male Choir (World Choir Champion, Xiamen, China 2006).<\/span><\/p>\n

He presently conducts the internationally renowned <\/span>Defrost Youth Choir, <\/span>and is artistic leader of and singing member of the vocal group <\/span>Nordic Blue<\/span>.<\/span><\/p>\n
