INTERNATIONAL WEEK FOR PEACE

COME & SING | CONCERT FOR PEACE WITH JOHN RUTTER & THE WORLD ORCHESTRA FOR PEACE |

The World Choir for Peace invites choirs and singers from around the world to join them and take part in a huge Concert for Peace, singing John Rutter’s Requiem. Conducted by the composer himself together with the World Orchestra for Peace, the concert will be held on Hiroshima Remembrance Day. 1,500 singers from across the globe will get the chance to perform in the domed hall at the Hannover Congress Centre (HCC) in Hannover, Germany. The concert will be broadcast on TV and another 5,000 people will be able to participate virtually and sing from the comfort of their living rooms. This workshop offers a unique opportunity to get to know this world-famous composer and his work.

Parallel to the Concert for Peace, a peace week will take place with a range of workshops and master classes themed around singing, peace and health. This will give participants the chance to interact with each other outside the concert and network with international singers. Choirs can also apply for the chance to perform at the Gala Concert.

David Lee Brewer
USA
I will bring you to the stage Brewer International, a global player founded in 2004, was developed with one purpose in mind: To find, develop, and deliver the most exciting vocal talents to the professional world of music and performance. Our guiding belief: “I will bring you to the stage.” So you wanna be famous? My belonging to the upper echelon of the music business has its advantages. “So you wanna be famous?” I ask my singers. And then I tell them the truth. That truth being that most times it is a very lonely business; it has been known to break even the best of them. I tell them two things about it: I tell them that it is one of the most thrilling rides they will ever have the opportunity to experience. Although thrilling, it can be an unforgiving and cruel business. It takes a disciplined mind and well balanced spirit to survive the power plays. And still they want in. “Don’t dream your life. Live your dream” David Lee Brewer
